Approach

How an advice engagement unfolds

A clear sequence so clients know what happens between the first call and the written recommendations — tailored to UK financial advice, not a generic project method.

Why process matters

Advice without a sequence becomes product shopping

Households arrive with mixed pensions, incomplete statements, and decisions that involve a partner or board. Our approach slows the first meetings enough to inventory what you hold, then accelerates once the facts are shared. You always see the fee and scope before discovery begins.

Stages

From enquiry to written plan

  1. Introductory call

Twenty to thirty minutes to confirm whether your question fits a Wealth Planning Consultation, a shorter review, or a referral. We outline a fee estimate and the documents worth gathering.

  2. Discovery meeting

Ninety minutes in Macejkovic Hill or by video. We map income, outgoings, dependents, pensions, tax wrappers, and the decisions with fixed dates — house purchase, retirement, share sale.

  3. Analysis

We model cashflow, allowance usage, and retirement access ages using the figures you supply. Gaps in paperwork are flagged early rather than papered over with assumptions.

  4. Plan presentation

A written plan or options summary in plain language, with rationale attached to each recommendation. You keep the document to share with a partner, accountant, or solicitor.

  5. Implementation support & review

Where you choose to act, we help place instructions with existing providers or introduce specialists for legal drafting. Optional review dates keep the plan current as pay and family circumstances change.

What we ask of clients

Bring honest numbers and both decision-makers when assets are jointly held. Say early if something is off-limits — an inheritance not yet discussed, or a business sale that is confidential. Advice that ignores half the balance sheet helps no one.

What we will not do

We will not rush a recommendation to meet a marketing deadline, invent guaranteed investment returns, or pressure you to implement through a single product. If another firm or a solicitor is better placed, we say so.
